About us
AGENT TRADE was founded in 1994 by 2 Romanian engineers with a comprehensive experience in the quality assurance of nuclear equipment production.
From the very beginning the main concern was directed towards ensuring a high quality level for all sold products. Constantly applying the idea of quality our company became the exclusive importer of the products manufactured by Elektra Beckum AG - Germany. The impressive portfolio offered by the German partner and the commercial policy allowed our company to establish itself over the years as an important supplier for various retail categories.
Starting with the collaboration with Metabo - Germany our company stepped into a process of development and, most important, into a process of redefining its identity. The challenges raised by the competition with important brands on the Romanian market determined several actions aiming at consolidating Agent Trade s position as market leader as well as satisfying the requests for new products through the dealer network. General recognition as a serious, sound and solid partner led to new commercial relationships with several suppliers all over the world.
At that point the company shareholders decided to enter a new stage, that of developing and launching its own brand which would identify itself with the excellent relation between the products quality level and their prices established over the years.
2001 brought the inauguration of the assembly and production departments of AGT products, the new brand of our company. This is where projects came to life, based on the excellent partnership with well known suppliers as Honda, Lombardini, B&S, Kohler, Sincro-Soga, NSM, Bertolini, Grillo or Batmatic as well as products required by the internal distribution network.
By assuring a European quality level for its products and offering technical and commercial support to its dealers, AGENT TRADE became the most important producer of mobile current and welding generating sets in Romania. In 2005 AGENT TRADE implemented and certified its quality management system in compliance with ISO 9001 , the policy in the field of quality being focused on reaching the following strategic objectives:
- orientation towards the clients with a view to fulfill their implicit and explicit requirements
- establishing mutually advantageous relationships with the suppliers
- continually improving the Quality Management System and the global performance in order to ensure success on the competition conditioned market.
Once these objectives were reached our company directed its efforts towards the external markets. Taking an active part in prestigious exhibition events as Koeln 2006 - 2008, Muenchen 2007 - 2010 - 2013, with own stands or joint stands with the AGT importers from the organizing countries, led to establishing of the AGT brand on the mobile gen-set markets in 15 countries throughout Europe, Asia Minor and the Middle East. The AGT products can be found on the markets of Finland, Belgium, Austria, Italy, France, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, Poland, Ucraine, Belarus, Russia, Moldavia, Armenia and Jordan.
At the moment AGT supplies in Romania a network of over 100 authorized dealers, some of whom have been our partners for over 2 decades. AGT s response to its collaborators has always been based on trust and respect of the assumed engagements, on the flexibility of the contracted commercial conditions and on the technical support offered.
The arrival of the DIY chains in Romania determined our company to create a specific offer adapted to this type of distribution and merchandising and based on the same price-quality relation that established AGT on the professional market. The AGT products have been adapted to the DIY market and clients like Metro, Praktiker, Bricostore, Baumax, Hornbach, OBI, Leroy Merlin have been successfully selling our products for over 10 years. During the last 14 years AGENT TRADE has been manufacturing as OEM ( Original Equipment Manufacturer) current and welding gen-sets, light construction equipment, motor pumps and light agricultural machines. The equipment produced under the AGT brand include over 50,000 engines from worldwide known engine manufacturers (Honda, Lombardini, Briggs & Stratton, Kohler). All these as well as the rest of the products in the AGT portfolio represent the warranty of a solid and fruitful collaboration.
